Who am I ?
Janelle has been styling hair since her childhood, when she started working on mannequins that belonged to her father, Guy Thomas – who owned a prominent Midtown salon for 50 years. She worked on people's hair to get her through college and graduate school. But, it really became her passion when she started working for her father in 2008. Since then, she has cut and colored hair for celebrities that included Paul McCartney, Marni Nixon and countless talent before performing in Carnegie Hall across the street. Because of the salon's location, most of Janelle's clientele were CEOs and business professionals. But, then everything changed. The city was ravaged by a pandemic that forced thousands of businesses to close – including, sadly, Guy Thomas.
For many of us, this crisis has been devastating. And it's forced Janelle to reinvent herself professionally, just like many of her clients who can no longer work in an office. She's now offering a mobile salon service for a select group of premier clients – so top-tier professionals can still look good for work, even if they're spending their days in video conferences.
Janelle, a born and raised New Yorker, knows that with every tragedy comes a time to rebuild. Let her be a part of your success story.
